Holika Dahan Pooja Samagri (Puja Essentials)
To perform Holika Dahan puja, the following items are required:
- Cow Dung Cakes – Symbolize Holika’s pyre
- Wood Logs – For lighting the sacred fire
- Ghee (Clarified Butter) – For offering into the fire
- Camphor & Cotton Wicks – To initiate the fire
- Turmeric, Kumkum, & Sandalwood Powder – For tilak
- Flowers & Garland – For decoration and offerings
- Roli & Akshat (Rice Grains) – Essential for puja rituals
- Coconut with Water – For offering prayers
- Jaggery & Sugar – For sweetness in life
- Moong, Wheat, Mustard Seeds & Barley Grains – For traditional offerings
- New Harvested Crops (Wheat, Gram, etc.) – To be roasted in the fire
- Incense Sticks & Dhoop – To purify the surroundings
- Sacred Thread (Moli) – To tie around Holika before setting it on fire
- Sweet Offerings & Prasad – To distribute after the puja
