Holika Dahan Pooja Samagri (Puja Essentials)

To perform Holika Dahan puja, the following items are required:

  • Cow Dung Cakes – Symbolize Holika’s pyre
  • Wood Logs – For lighting the sacred fire
  • Ghee (Clarified Butter) – For offering into the fire
  • Camphor & Cotton Wicks – To initiate the fire
  • Turmeric, Kumkum, & Sandalwood Powder – For tilak
  • Flowers & Garland – For decoration and offerings
  • Roli & Akshat (Rice Grains) – Essential for puja rituals
  • Coconut with Water – For offering prayers
  • Jaggery & Sugar – For sweetness in life
  • Moong, Wheat, Mustard Seeds & Barley Grains – For traditional offerings
  • New Harvested Crops (Wheat, Gram, etc.) – To be roasted in the fire
  • Incense Sticks & Dhoop – To purify the surroundings
  • Sacred Thread (Moli) – To tie around Holika before setting it on fire
  • Sweet Offerings & Prasad – To distribute after the puja
